Ceramic on Wood, 2026
Artist: MOOALEE
MooAlee's work begins where the self dissolves. Working in ceramic sculpture through slip-casting and three rounds of firing, she gives form to the philosophy of mu-a (無我) — the release of ego — and the quiet fullness that arrives on the other side. A pregnant woman dances beneath flower rain; birds drift through a sky she calls Pure Land. Gold is applied not as ornament but as language: the inner light recovered through the process of letting go. In her world, impermanence is not loss - it is the condition of beauty.
